Coronado is a peninsula connected to the mainland by a many miles long narrow strip of land called the Silver Strand. Locals often refer to Coronado as Coronado Island and they denote the core living and business area as The Village.

It starts with a ride through Seaport Village then a 20 minute ferry ride to the Coronado Ferry Landing, then proceeds along the bayside bike path with city views; it continues around the Glorietta Bay to the Hotel Del Coronado; 1 hour of touring of the Hotel Del off the bikes; back on the bikes riding by the Pacific Ocean and then heading towards North Island with a return on the bike path ending at the Ferry Landing.
